Reptiles have been kept as pets for many many years in the UK and until more recent times were often considered more challenging and difficult to care for. Thankfully over more recent years we now have a far greater understanding for their requirements and through that research we have the products readily available for success. Cold blooded is a phrase often used for reptiles which refers to them being ectothermic. This essentially means they are unable to regulate their own body temperature for optimal function as we would but are reliant on their environment to warm up or cool down.
