Terrestrial Spiders

Terrestrial tarantulas are spiders that live on the ground, often in burrows or under bark. Usually ambush predators awaiting prey to wander past their lair. There are some beautiful species in this group which are very brightly coloured and make great display animals. Out of the Tarantulas some of terrestrial species are the most handleable although we would recommend keeping handling to a minimum.
