Monitor Lizards

Monitor lizards are a group of highly intelligent reptiles extremely capable hunters which often need to be challenged by their keepers. Most monitors grow very large needing room sized enclosures but some are a little smaller and more manageable in the usual vivarium. They like hot temperatures and strong UV and once a trust is formed they can bond with their keepers much more than many other reptiles.
